Since 1956, SNPJ young women have competed for the title of Miss SNPJ and the honor of representing SNPJ as the Society’s ambassador of good will during the year of her reign. The crowning of Miss SNPJ is one of the highlights of Slovenefest, a three-day cultural festival held annually at the SNPJ Recreation Center.

Contestants must be single females between the ages of 18 and 28 by the pageant start date, and a member of SNPJ for at least three months. Transportation to the Miss SNPJ Pageant is paid for by SNPJ, as are all expenses for lodging and meals.

During the judging period, contestants appear before a panel of judges in an evening gown; they are asked questions which may reflect current affairs, their experiences with SNPJ, or their life ambitions; and they perform in a talent competition (optional, but highly recommended). An independent panel of judges will award points in the following categories: appearance in evening gown, personality and communication skills, talent, and community service. The SNPJ Executive Committee will award points for activity within the SNPJ.

The title of Miss SNPJ is awarded based cumulatively on this criteria. In addition, the titles of Miss Talent and Miss Activity will be awarded from the individual categories, and a Miss Fraternalism title is awarded by the contestants.

The 67th Miss SNPJ Pageant will be held the weekend of July 11-13, 2025, during the 42nd Slovenefest.
